Flue gas treatment

In coal-fired electric power plants, during the incineration of domestic waste and in numerous industrial applications (glass, brick making, etc.), the lime neutralises hydrochloric, hydrofluoric acids and hydrogen sulphides and absorbs most of the heavy metals present in the flue gases.
